Green Bay Packers headed to the Superbowl final

I’ve blogged about the Green Bay Packers before, but I simply have to now once again. The team has overcome incredible injuries and had their backs up against the wall on more than one occasion, and now they’re going to the Super Bowl. We take a certain pride in their great accomplishments. They were the first NFL team to use and benefit from the Sani Sport technology. Their head equipment manager, Red Batty, is an expert at doing everything humanly possible to protect and enhance the on field lives of his players. Sani Sport will do it’s part to take care of the equipment, here’s hoping that Aaron Rodgers does his part on February 6^th.

NHL teams continue to tackle the cleanliness of their rooms

The Montreal Canadiens are the latest NHL team to use the new Sani Sport VE technology to combat viruses and bacteria in their locker rooms and workout areas. The team recently used it at Madison Square Garden just before they went on to defeat the Rangers. Changing sports for a second, we here at Sani Sport are so pleased to see two of our greatest NFL supporters vying for a spot in the Super Bowl. The Green Bay Packers and New York Jets will continue to defy the odds and get a chance to play for all the marbles. Hopefully they both win and face each other. We know their Sani Sport machines will be with them all the way.

Congratulations to the Montreal Alouettes

The Montreal Alouettes, the CFL team which was the first to get a Sani Sport, has won another Grey Cup. We’d like to say that our technology had something to do with the win, but the Saskatchewan Roughriders have one of our machines as well, so there goes that theory. On the topic of pro football, it’s also great to see so many of our NFL customers doing so well as they gear up for the playoffs. The Packers, Falcons, Jets and others are looking strong, so hopefully Sani Sport will be able to claim not only a Grey Cup connection, but a Super Bowl one as well.

Sani Sport and the State of Wisconsin

Sometimes things happen in bunches and you don’t know why. That seems to be the case lately with our company and the state of Wisconsin. We recently had the pleasure of watching the Packers and Vikings at Lambeau field, one of the most sacred sports venues anywhere. This was shortly after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel decided to do a feature article on Sani Sport and it’s benefits in terms of bacteria reduction and injury prevention. And just the other day, the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League became our latest professional hockey team customer. Maybe cheeseheads will shortly become the hat of choice for Sani Sport personnel?

Bullet proof vests pass the test

We recently had the Sani Sport technology tested in relation to it’s effect on protective, bullet proof vests. The testing was performed by a Canadian firm that deals extensively with the Canadian and U.S. military as well as law enforcement organizations throughout North America. The conclusions were very clear. The specific Sani Sport technology causes no change at all in the effectiveness and or quality of the protective gear. Various law enforcement groups have known this for a long time, but we felt it was important to back this up with undeniable science, just as we do with all of our other claims and studies. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why our customers have such a high rate of satisfaction with our company and our technology: not only do we stand behind what we say, we get professional unbiased third party opinions.

NHL preferred supplier

As I mentioned in an earlier blog, the NHL has chosen Sani Sport as the “preferred supplier in the category of equipment sanitizing”. This is an honour for our company. This designation is of great significance to any and all involved in the game of hockey. I’m pleased to report as well that our sister company Dupliskate has also been awarded this prestigious title in the category of “skate sharpening equipment”. We work hard to service all of our customers with the same diligence and care that we use to deal with our NHL customers. We thank the NHL for this wonderful opportunity and we will strive to be worthy of this title.

The High Road

Often times in business, a decision has to be made about how to handle a situation. As with everything else, there’s always the right way to deal with things and the wrong way. I’ve been pleased to see and hear over the recent past that Sani Sport users, for the most part, share my philosophy regarding business ethics and morals. There are multiple ways to deal with a particular issue, but the truth, and dealing with people in the same manner that you would want to be treated, has always been a staple of Sani Sport. So whether dealing with a difficult customer or listening to some sort of falsehood that has been spread by a competitor, do as does Sani Sport and it’s customers, just take the high road.

Media coverage increasing

Nice to see that the media is recognizing Sani Sport as the originator and leader in the field of protective equipment cleaning. There have been quite a few articles about our company in various publications. Sometimes we can get these up on our site , like the recent article from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Other times , we simply hear about pieces that were done in different newspapers. There will be an exciting media project to follow in the months ahead. Can’t let the cat out of the bag just yet. Also want to take this opportunity to thank all the pro equipment managers who are so quick to respond to media requests about Sani Sport. In particular, Red Batty with the Packers and Doug Shearer with the Anaheim Ducks. These guys use their machines on a daily basis to protect their players, but also make the time to answer questions from reporters and so on. Hope all the pro teams using Sani Sport in the NHL and NFL have great seasons.

Dri-Max system making headway

Nice to hear that both our hockey and football customers are appreciating the Sani Sport Dri-Max system which has been out for over a year now. In addition to accomplishing the already well known reduction of bacteria in protective gear, the Dri-Max feature literally dries wet equipment in the same cycle time. A customer recently referred to this as : ‘killing two birds with one stone’. We have also had quite a few requests from customers asking if this feature can be retrofitted on their older Sani Sports. The answer is that it certainly can, they just have to get along without their machines for a few days.

Canadian Medical Hall of Fame has a new member

We are proud to announce that Sani Sport Advisory Staff member, Dr. Phil Gold, was recently elected to the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame.

Phil Gold is the Douglas G. Cameron Professor of Medicine, and Professor of Physiology and Oncology, at McGill University. He has served as Chairman of the Department of Medicine at McGill and Physician-in-Chief at the Montreal General Hospital. He is presently the Executive Director of the Clinical Research Centre of the McGill University Health Centre.

Congratulations Dr. Gold on an incredible accomplishment.
